Performing and documenting an annual audit is required as a condition of the radioactive materials license in all states (NRC or Agreement). In essence, the audit is an internal inspection of how well the organization is adhering to the conditions of its license and the regulations.
This “Do-It-Yourself Step-By-Step Guide” follows the format of the U.S. NRC’s Portable Gauge Audit Checklist and should be completed by the licensee Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) at least annually.
This course covers all necessary components of the licensee’s radiation protection program as it relates to the license.
The audit form is printed and needs to be signed and dated by both the RSO and management.
Certificate
A certificate is issued for this course following a 70-percent passing score on the 10-question exam.
